Thank you for continuing your commitment to the National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey (NFB of NJ) South Jersey Shore Chapter. By renewing your membership, you reaffirm your dedication to promoting advocacy, equality, and opportunity for blind and low vision individuals throughout Atlantic County and the surrounding South Jersey Shore region. Your ongoing support strengthens our chapter and helps us continue building a future where every blind person can live the life we want.
The NFBNJ South Jersey Shore Chapter provides a welcoming environment for individuals who are blind, have low vision, or are allies of the blind community. Our chapter offers meaningful networking opportunities, mentorship, peer support, and access to resources that foster confidence, independence, and community connection. We conduct hybrid meetings—both in person and on Zoom—on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. Meetings include guest speakers, chapter updates, and open discussions that keep members informed, engaged, and inspired.
In-person meetings are held at: Ocean City Public Library 1735 Simpson Avenue Room 111 Ocean City, NJ 08226
For those arriving via NJ Transit AccessLink, the nearest cross street is 17th Street, and the location is AccessLink accessible, ensuring convenient and independent participation for all.
The National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing advocacy, equality, and opportunity for blind individuals statewide. We believe that blindness does not define who we are or limit our potential. Through collective action and community strength, we demonstrate each day that blind individuals can live independently, contribute fully, and thrive in education, employment, leadership, and civic engagement.
Membership dues for the South Jersey Shore Chapter are $10 per calendar year, and you may pay for up to two calendar years at a time. Your renewal helps support programs, outreach efforts, advocacy initiatives, and chapter events that make a meaningful difference across New Jersey. Renewing members retain the right to vote, hold office, and serve in leadership roles, ensuring your voice continues to shape our chapter and statewide work.

As a member of the National Federation of the Blind and the National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey, I understand that I represent both myself and our greater organization. While I am encouraged to socialize and build friendships, I also recognize that membership provides an opportunity to continue the work of the Federation, learn about important initiatives, and help plan our future.
The Federation is committed to an environment of mutual respect and professionalism, where diverse members, speakers, staff, and volunteers may learn, network, and enjoy one another’s company. To uphold this environment, the following behaviors are prohibited:
Harassment or intimidation based on identity, including race, religion, ethnicity, language, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, disability, or appearance.
Sexual harassment, including unwelcome attention, stalking (physical or virtual), or unsolicited physical contact.
Public drunkenness or disruptive conduct, such as belligerence, yelling, hostility, or destruction of property.
Members are expected to follow these standards in all Federation settings—in person, online, and on social media—and to comply immediately if asked to stop inappropriate behavior. We are committed to diversity, equity, and the free expression of ideas. Please visit https://nfb.org/code-conduct for more information.
The National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey's goal is to be sensitive to members with perfume and chemical sensitivities who, as a result, may suffer potentially serious health consequences. In order to address this concern, members and participants at conventions and other meetings should refrain from wearing scented products, including, but not limited to perfumes, colognes, aftershave lotions, or similar products. We want to ensure full participation in all of our state-wide activities.
It is the policy of the National Federation of the Blind that any state affiliate or national division is required to seek approval of, and coordinate with, the national President prior to seeking legal actions, governmental complaints, or demand letters using the name of the National Federation of the Blind or any variant thereof. Furthermore, local chapters or divisions within state affiliates will similarly not be permitted to seek legal action on behalf of the organization without prior approval from both the national President and the state affiliate president who will be responsible for coordinating with the national President. State affiliates, national divisions, and local chapters or divisions may not take legal action without approval from the national President and may not commit the resources of the National Federation of the Blind to legal action without approval from the national President. The National Federation of the Blind has the right to approve any attorneys, including the state protection and advocacy organization, used by any state affiliate, national division, or local chapter or division, whether paid for by the National Federation of the Blind or by said affiliate or division. Any unauthorized legal action taken by a local chapter or division, state affiliate, or national division using the name National Federation of the Blind, or any variant thereof, or implying the support of the organization, will be grounds for disciplinary action by the NFB Board of Directors or the National Convention.
