President Melendez has asked me, Tracy Carcione, to be the facilitator in reestablishing the NFB of New Jersey Guide Dog Group. We plan to have three meetings a year, in January, May, and September, on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. Our first meeting will be on January 21. We will discuss the topics we would like to cover in subsequent meetings and how our group can contribute to the strength and growth of NFB of NJ. A couple of topic ideas I have are Uber and Lyft policies that affect guide dog users and how recent changes are working out, as well as how people are coping with the rising cost of veterinary care.  I welcome other suggestions, so please bring your ideas to the meeting.
