2026 GuideStar Platinum Seal of Transparency
The National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey (NFB of NJ) invites you to support the auction and door prizes at our 50th Annual State Convention—“Live the Life You Want; Stronger Together: 50 Years of Progress and Possibilities.” This milestone event celebrates five decades of advocacy, achievement, empowerment, and community impact while looking ahead to the opportunities and possibilities of the future. The convention will take place Wednesday, October 21 through Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Tropicana Atlantic City, 2831 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ 08401.
The NFB of NJ State Convention is the largest gathering of blind people in the state and the premier event for training, support, information, advocacy, and community engagement for New Jersey’s blind community. Blind people, families, professionals, and supporters come together to exchange information, build connections, learn about resources and technology, and expand opportunities for blind people. The convention also serves as the governing body of the NFB of NJ, where members democratically elect leaders and establish organizational priorities. Our 50th Annual State Convention provides a special opportunity to recognize five decades of progress while strengthening the relationships and shared commitment that will guide our work into the future.
The NFB of NJ is the state’s largest organization of blind people, working through advocacy, education, and empowerment to improve the lives of blind people. Its membership includes blind adults, students, parents, and professionals from across the state. As a volunteer 501(c)(3) membership organization, the NFB of NJ promotes independence, equal access, and full participation in society and works to ensure that blindness is not a barrier to living the life one wants. The NFB of NJ is an affiliate of the National Federation of the Blind, the oldest and largest organization of blind people in the United States. Together, the national organization and its state affiliates work to advance independence, equality, opportunity, and full participation for blind people.
Individuals, NFB of NJ chapters, committees and groups, and companies or organizations are encouraged to contribute. We welcome complete auction baskets, individual auction items, door prizes, and monetary contributions. Contributions may include gift cards or certificates, handcrafted or specialty items, electronics, collectibles, home and lifestyle products, experiences, services, and other items that will appeal to convention attendees.
You do not need to provide a complete auction basket to participate. Individual auction items and door prizes are welcome. If making a monetary contribution, you can indicate whether you would like the NFB of NJ to use your contribution for auction items or baskets, door prizes, or both. If you select both, you can specify how much of your total contribution should be allocated to each. The NFB of NJ will use the designated funds to purchase appropriate items on your behalf.
Proceeds from the auction support NFB of NJ programs, advocacy, education, outreach, and other initiatives benefiting blind people throughout New Jersey. Auction and door prize contributions also help make our historic 50th anniversary convention an engaging and memorable experience for attendees.
Complete the form below as an individual, NFB of NJ chapter, committee or group, or company or organization. If submitting on behalf of a chapter, committee, group, company, or organization, provide its name along with your contact information so we can reach you if we have questions or need to coordinate your contribution.
The form will adapt based on your selections. Some fields will remain hidden until you make a selection that requires additional information. For example, selecting a specific contributor or contribution type will display the fields relevant to that selection, while fields that do not apply will remain hidden. If you make a monetary contribution, additional fields will allow you to designate how the funds should be used and, when selecting both auction items or baskets and door prizes, how much should be allocated to each.
Select one contribution type per submission. If you are providing more than one contribution, please submit a separate form for each auction basket, individual auction item, door prize, or monetary contribution. This helps us accurately track, organize, and recognize each contribution.
