The purpose of the Diabetic Group is to provide and create a climate of opportunity for all blind diabetics at home, in school, at work and in society; to support and educate all blind diabetics about the ramifications of the disease; to facilitate the sharing of experiences and concerns among blind diabetics; to develop and expand resources available to all blind diabetics; and to serve as a blind diabetic support network. This organization shall not be merely a social group, but shall actively promote the economic and social betterment of blind diabetics.
